Lublin Voivodeship Marshal
Lublin, 16 October 2017
Ms. Marzena Pieńkosz Sapieha
President of Food Bank in Lubin
Dear Ms. President,
thank you very much for the invitation to participate in the Conference “Slice of Bread from Heart”. Greetings to Organizers, Speakers and all participants of the meeting in Lublin.
I am very happy that the capital of Lublin Voivodeship became a place to exchange experience of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, France and Poland representatives about the functioning of the Operational Program Food Aid 2014-2020 in their countries. This UE program is a valuable tool against poverty and malnutrition, because besides the distribution of food among the people in need, its goal is a broad spectrum of education and promotion of good practice including culinary, dietary workshops, economical education classes and anti-food waste workshops.
I am deeply convinced that the Conference under the slogan “Slice of Bread from Heart” will yield valuable analysis and conclusions about the part of Operational Program Food Aid 2014-2020 in the Social Service System. I trust that the exchange of knowledge and experience will demonstrate how to use this tool in most effective way so the food aid can reach as many people dealing with poverty, as possible.
I wish you good atmosphere for the meeting and inspiring discussions. I congratulate the Organizers again and I wish you a lot of energy to realize the activities for the people in need.
